He met so many eyes, so many smiles,
Some gentle, some deceitful,
Yet blind to all cunning,
Always ready to reach out a hand.
Then they pulled on his kindness,
Played his naivety like a thread,
Turned him into a puppet,
And shattered the world he believed in.

Forcing him to his knees,
Exhausted from believing.
The story I am about to tell you is that of a man who is not cruel,

His life slipped away with time,
